XDVAnnn.sys has something to do with XTrap.

There is no XDVannn.sys, or there shouldn't be.
Try repatching Audition, using this alternative patcher:

***
Also:
Try updating and running a Full Scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
And try a virus scan with Trend Micro HouseCall:
http:/housecall.trendmicro.com

I had that same problem right after Redbana Audi opened .. but after a few patches, the XTrap was updated enough so that I haven't gotten it anymore.
I didn't do anything special, and it wasn't a virus or anything .. not sure what to suggest, except like DancingBanana suggested, try using Weenie's custom patch after reinstalling.

There isn't any such file as XDVAnnn.sys associated with Redbana's Audition. If you have other versions of Audition or another game that uses XTrap protection, try uninstalling them.

I don't know if this is just coincidence, but I had that same problem with another game that uses Gameguard (Rappelz). Every time I launched it it would bluescreen me with the " Problem caused by XDVAnnn.sys" message (some kind of conflict?), and upon reboot Windows would recommend that I do a full system scan with their One Care safety scanner... which I did but the results were clean.
Did a couple more scans with Avast! and Comodo which also turned up nothing.
XDVAnnn.sys (where nnn is a specific number, 281 in my case) seems to be an X-TRAP file that is recreated in the system32 folder whenever a game is launched, and then deleted when it closes, in this case Audition.
When I run the Glary Utilities registry cleaner it will always give me a registry key that points to the missing file XDva281.sys if I have played Audition since the last time I ran the cleaner, and ask if I would like to delete it. If I delete it it won't show up anymore until I play Audition again, at which time the registry key is recreated.
Strangely, Audition would never blue screen me though.
After looking through your links and finding this page I decided to try the registry fix, and now Rappelz doesn't bluescreen me anymore!
On the off chance that this might work for Audition too, and for the sake of clarity and simplicity, here is what that page suggested I do ( with slight modifications). You may have a different XDva number since it seems to get higher with more updates, in which case, substitute your own number for 281. Of course, editing the registry incorrectly may result in computer catastrophe, so use at your own risk!! I am sooo not liable for any damage it may cause.
1st. Open Registry Editor by going to Start > Run > and typing regedit (in XP) or just Start > type regedit (for Vista), and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es.
2nd. Find the value XDva281 under Services. (Now we are at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\XDva281.)
Optional Step 3. Compare the Enum values.
Optional Step 4. Compare the Security values.
Step 5. If the values don't match, export the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\XDva281 so that you have a backup. Save it as something like XDva 281 Original Values and remember where you saved it to.
Step 6. Open Notepad and copy/paste the following (make sure that the 3 Services have no spaces).
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\XDva281]
"Type"=dword:00000001
"Start"=dword:00000003
"ErrorControl"=dword:00000001
"ImagePath"=hex(2):5c,00,3f,00,3f,00,5c,00,43,00,3 a,00,5c,00,57,00,69,00,6e,00,\

00,00
"DisplayName"="XDva281"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\XDva281\Security]
"Security"=hex:01,00,14,80,90,00,00,00,9c,00,00,00 ,14,00,00,00,30,00,00,00,02,\

20,02,00,00,00,00,14,00,8d,01,02,00,01,01,00,00,00 ,00,00,05,0b,00,00,00,00,\
00,18,00,fd,01,02,00,01,02,00,00,00,00,00,05,20,00 ,00,00,23,02,00,00,01,01,\
00,00,00,00,00,05,12,00,00,00,01,01,00,00,00,00,00 ,05,12,00,00,00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\XDva281\Enum]
"0"="Root\\LEGACY_XDVA281\\0000"
"Count"=dword:00000001
"NextInstance"=dword:00000001
So that it looks like this:

Go to File > Save As > New XDVA Registry Values.reg (make sure to put the .reg).
Now you can double click on your new file to add those values to the registry, and hopefully stop the bluescreen XDVAnnn.sys errors. If something goes wrong, you can double click on your previous export file of XDva 281 Original Values to change them back.
Goodluck!

Nice post Rex, but those registry entries do not exist for me. I'm guessing they're associated with a different game that uses XTrap (Rappelz?), and a conflict occurs when having it installed with Audition's XTrap.
