TeamMate's?

Eap, Quick question I know im going to be lame for asking this :p
but, ive noticed when you right click on someone to look at there "user info" theres a spot that says TeamMate. Can someone tell me what this is all about? :D

It's to have 2 of your friends and be a team
there used to be team tourny..? i think idk really
but you just get two friends and play in team mode,
win, then click the request team thing. ^^
