So I have a laptop and I don't have a numpad on it, so I bought an external one awhile ago. However! Whenever I try to 8k, when I press the #1 button, it turns on level 6 chance and every time I press it goes down to other chance levels depending on how many times I press it. So whenever I want to 8k, I have to constantly fix my chance level and such.

Is there a way I don't have to that?! It's really really really really annoying ;_; Whyyyy is my external numpad so booboo?! T_T

There's no way you can fix it with just an external numberpad. Instead, you have to buy a keyboard. It's the only way to fix the chance. x: I've been through this, it's so frustrating. If your external one isn't too old, try returning it so you can get your money back and just buy a standard keyboard. xD Hope that helps.

I think its because of number lock, have you tried clicking it?
and you dont need that anyway.
Every laptop has FN Key (right to ctrl).
Hold it and you will be able to 8k with the keys; 789u[i]ojkl.
789 = 789
u[i]o = 4[5]6
jkl = 123
and instead of pressing space, press ctrl to get your move points.
and back for your problem, it looks like numberlock to me brcause when you click on number lock the keys:1,3,7,9 become pgup pgdown home end and when you click on end you get chance. try, if it doesnt work than im sorry but im sure on 99% that this is the problem.
and if you dont have numlock, you use the numlock of the laptop keys; it should be:FN+HOME

Hmm I know how you feel, but I don't have an external num pad. Whenever I try to use the alternative keys for 8k [HOME, PGUP, etc] it puts chance 6 on me too. So I just kinda gave up

Oooh I do that Stacee :) But it gets annoying when I have to like press the delete key multiple times depending on how many times I press the 1 button ;_; And then sometimes I overpress and then I start failing, and then I get frustrated, and I start pulling out my hairs, and start blaming it on my sister or my dog... Or whatever is near me... ok I'm going to stop typing now... writing a story ._.

I use an external as well. Some external keys have their own number lock button that is separate from your main number-lock. You need to make sure it is off on that one too. If it still doesn't work, buy a new keyboard.

I recommend the Targus external Number Pad if you are going to just buy another one of those. If you want a keyboard, I recommend the Virtabim wireless keyboard. Reaction time wise, it is better than my wired Dell keyboard (IMO), and the resistance on the keys is very similar to that of a laptop, so you won't feel weird typing for the first few days.
